"Where You Goin' In That?" . . . a little question my family likes to ask one another when witnessing a fashion choice or trend that seems like it needs questioning (simply because sometimes the answer should be 'NOWHERE'). It may seem judge-mental, but it has the best intentions.
I encourage women to have their own sense of style and embrace uniqueness, but sometimes our fashion choices (or lack-there-of) tend to make us stand out for the wrong reasons. Whether it is through neglect of personal self image, laziness, or being too revealing and/or off-putting, nothing is worse than second guessing your fashion choices throughout the day. Especially in the work place or at school, a questionable fashion choice can tend to make a girl feel awkward, out-of-place, and less than confident.
I firmly believe you can be edgy, funky, and different without being trashy. Stay classy, polished, and groomed. Lean toward trends, but still make it your own. Be creative and you can look good on any budget (I alter/layer clothes and dive at Goodwill all the time). Don't be afraid of standing out, but make sure it's for the right reasons and you achieve positive attention. The most important thing is that if you feel beautiful, don't listen to anyone telling you otherwise.
Each week I will post a different, highly-questionable fashion item/outfit/etc for "Where You Goin' In That? Wednesdays" Please comment!!!
